Pre-Philippine Script Writing with Kristian Kabuay

The Asian Art Museum is honored to welcome Kristian Kabuay back for a live demonstration of pre-Philippine script writing in celebration of the Sama Sama Festival. 

About the Speaker

  Kristian Kabuay is an artist/entrepreneur/futurist specializing in endangered writing systems and tattoos from the Philippines. As a leader for the propagation and instruction of prePhilippine scripts, he launched his own edutainment business specializing in custom art, books, events, technology, and apparel. Kabuay has spoken around the world at museums, schools, and companies. His work spans both new media and traditional practices; he is currently working on his tenth book, second documentary, and an education startup, while honing his traditional tattooing practice.
